    Sidegrinder Security Strategy

    Security for you and your company is just a matter of common sense;

    The issue of the security of your Information is now a topic that will no doubt be of constant importance to you. In all the confusion that has arisen due to the greater interface facilities of data, it seems that some of the more obvious means of control and security are being overlooked.

    One of our aims in creating the Network 23 forum is to focus attention of home users such as yourselves towards preventing some of the more obvious risks to the Computing community as a whole.

    These measures may seem extreme to some but our tests have shown that if people are given the right incentives then they can be made to see the sense that is contained herein. Special security measures are as follows

    • 1. Ban the use of all computing to those earning less that the national average wage. [Apart from menial tasks such as data entry].

    • 2. Ban the sale of all PC's to those who have had a previous history of criminal activity or involvement in divergent practices of any sort.

    • 3. Ban the use of PC's at Cybercafes, Community computing centres or other similar public access points.

    • 4. Create specially corporate funded Information Technology centres the young where they will be able to learn the implications of computer use. This will lead to the next measure.

    • 5. Ban the use and indeed the presence of all PCs in State schools. Unregulated teaching practices could create mayhem. Our research shows incompatible and unrealistic aims when compared to the Industry's vision of the future.

    • 6. Ban all unauthorised literature on the possibilities of information exchange.

    • 7. Ban independent server operation. Imposing regulation and fines for unregistered servers.
    These measures seem only fair. In a world where we all pay taxes and the television licence, why should government intervention stop only at these large media. Surely they should help out big business like ourselves to infiltrate and regulate the current independent Net programming. Output that does not fit in with the accepted goals of our modern society.
